It all starts with an idea. Feeling the need for a respite from the city's hustle and bustle, and following a breakup, my best friend encouraged me to relocate from Miami to Thailand, where she was already teaching English. Being the impulsive person I am, I contemplated it for a week or two before deciding that the timing was just right. So, why not take the risk? That impulsive decision turned out to be one of the most significant and life-changing choices I've ever made.

I lived in Chachoengsao, a local town outside of Bangkok, and embarked on a deep exploration of Thai culture. Among all the places I've visited around the world, the Thai people stand out as the kindest and most accommodating. Once I got over the initial culture shock, I fell in love with their way of life and the values many Thai people hold dear. I began teaching English to kindergarteners at a local school and also challeneged myself to learn some Thai, as many locals didn't speak English.

This journey was undeniably hard at times, yet it was equally wonderful and rewarding. It revealed to me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. It taught me things about myself I never knew and instilled in me the confidence to pursue my dreams, no matter how unconventional they may seem to some.
